On our last night, our INCREDIBLY THOUGHTFUL kids (and I mean that in all seriousness)treated us to a very special Anniversary dinner at The Metropolitan---an amazing restaurant in downtown Seattle. (Our server and the restaurant manager--who came by to wish us "Happy Anniversary" both commented that we "raised terrific kids!" We couldn't agree more!!) They gave us a card that said "You have reservations at 6:15 at the Metropolitan"...all we had to do was show up and "eat, drink and be merry!!"
The weekend was one we will always remember, it's so much fun to celebrate "40 years" with your very best friend!!

I'm so glad you had such a great time in Seattle celebrating an important milestone such as 40 years. You two are so wonderful and you truly deserve all of your happiness. That was so sweet of your children!
