Can't we just "PAUSE" summer....

I haven't scrapbooked in a while, so it was fun to sit down this afternoon and play with these new American Crafts printed papers, my 2" circle punch, and my 5 favorite little "scrapbook subjects!" Don't you just wish we could "PAUSE" summer...just like we do with our remote control??!! It's been such a fun summer, but it's flying by waaayyyyy too quickly, where did it go? Maybe the fact that we had SNOW on June 10th makes the summer seem a little shorter than normal! :0) It's not that I don't love fall, I really do, and fall is always beautiful here! But, I know I could enjoy it a lot more if the next season wasn't winter!! (You know how I feel about winter!)

A Room With A View....

Our "Anniversary Celebration" trip to Seattle was AMAZING!!! We had just as much fun as we did a short 40 years ago on our honeymoon to Disneyland!! :0) We stayed at the Westin, downtown, and the view from our room was incredible...notice the beautiful way that the two skyscrapers frame Mt. On our last night, our INCREDIBLY THOUGHTFUL kids (and I mean that in all seriousness)treated us to a very special Anniversary dinner at The Metropolitan---an amazing restaurant in downtown Seattle. (Our server and the restaurant manager--who came by to wish us "Happy Anniversary" both commented that we "raised terrific kids!" We couldn't agree more!!) They gave us a card that said "You have reservations at 6:15 at the Metropolitan"...all we had to do was show up and "eat, drink and be merry!!"

The weekend was one we will always remember, it's so much fun to celebrate "40 years" with your very best friend!!

Jim and I are off to Seattle this week for a very special anniversary celebration...40 years!! Oh my gosh, "time really does fly when you're having fun!!" :0) Jim was my "high school sweetheart"....I still remember when I was a car-hop at the A&W (you youngsters will have to ask your elders what a "car-hop" is!!) and I first laid eyes on this adorable boy that pulled in to get a root beer!!!:0) Zing....he stole my heart!!

A day at the park...

There is nothing more fun than playing at the park on a beautiful summer day!! K, A, R and K had a great time when they were all together at the park last weekend!!

"WE ARE FAMILY" mini album...

I'm back...teaching classes again after a little break for the summer! I just created this mini album using the adorable new Bazzill Board Books. Bazzill covered the chipboard with textured cardstock to make book binding even easier! Besides the cover there are 10 smooth cardstock inner pages (20 page layouts) and 2 top-loading sheet protectors. I have created this album using lots of great "family" themed quotes and fun embellishments! I hope you can join me at the Pullman Paper Pals on Thursday evening, September 11th, from 6:30 to 8:30!!

Merry Maids...

Jim and I are back from Phoenix, and we cleaned our fingers to the bone....really!!! We don't think that the tenants that lived there ever cleaned a single thing, it was pretty bad---but, the good thing is that it is a really nice house and it cleaned up perfectly!! (It's cleaner than my house, now!!!) And, we discovered the cleaning secret of all time---Mr. Clean Magic Erasers!!! They will clean anything and everything, love them!!!! Here is the house we were working on...
